I travel a lot and usually for work (although I did just have my Summer vacation in France and the English countryside). If I only took a few trips a year, I’d probably be a little more relaxed about keeping up with my routines. But because travel is such a constant in my life, maintaining some structure has become essential. Without it, I start to feel ungrounded, less productive and not quite like myself.
Do I always want to stick to my routines when I travel? No. But I know they help me feel better physically, mentally and emotionally no matter where I land so I do try my best. Whether I’m waking up in Paris or touching down at JFK, I’ve found small ways to stay on track so I can feel my best, even on the go.
Before I Go: Prep is Everything
Pack a wellness pouch with all my travel-day essentials. This includes electrolytes, magnesium, a silk eye mask, and skincare minis I know work for my skin.
Download what I need ahead of time. I save Spotify playlists, YouTube frequencies, meditation sessions from Open or Superhuman, and white noise on the Calm app.
Get my body moving the morning of a flight either a walk outside or a light workout so I’m not stiff and restless while flying.
Timeshifter App: I love this app you add in your outgoing and return flights and it helps you adjust to the time zone by telling you when to view light, have caffeine and sleep.
Pre-packed bags: If you're a frequent traveler, I really recommend having pre-packed bags that stay with your luggage. I always have my toiletries, makeup, supplements and carry-on pouches ready to go. When I run out of something, I make a note and restock when I get home.
On Travel Days: Keep It Simple
Skincare: I always fly with Jet Lag Mask, Lip Butter Balm, and a hydrating mist. Right before landing, I put on eye masks to look and feel a little more refreshed.
Hydration: I add electrolytes to my water and aim to drink throughout the flight. I buy a few bottles of water before I board so I can mix matcha, electrolytes, or protein powder in different bottles.
Comfort dressing: I bring cozy socks and dress for comfort—loose-fitting pants, a t-shirt, and a light soft sweater so I have layers to take on or off during the flight.
Once I Arrive: Set the Tone
Unpack right away to feel settled even for just one or two nights. It helps me see what I have and feel more grounded.
Skincare reset: I take a quick shower and do my skincare routine to feel fresh. (We’ve got a new product coming soon that’s a game changer—can’t wait to share it.)
Go for a walk: I move around as soon as I land. Whether it’s to get coffee or just explore, a 20-minute walk in the sun helps with jet lag and clears my mind. If it's evening, I’ll at least walk around the hotel, then do an everything shower and head to bed.

Finding Routine in New Places
I don’t try to replicate my exact routine from home. I just find small ways to anchor my day like grabbing a matcha in the morning, journaling for a few minutes, or walking to get steps in and explore.
Wellness while traveling isn’t about perfection. It’s about giving myself a few familiar tools to stay grounded, focused, and energized so I can fully enjoy wherever I am. These rituals may seem small, but they make a big difference in how I feel, work, and show up when I’m away from home.
