In January 2024, I saw a friend post about a life-changing podcast episode from Mel Robbins about her ‘Let Them’ theory. I gave it a listen—and I loved it so much I immediately text the link to friends, encouraging them to listen.
Since then, I’ve had so many moments where I’ve paused, taken a breath, and said those two simple words to myself: Let them. And just like that, my perspective shifted. What felt frustrating or out of my control suddenly became a passing feeling. The beauty of this mindset is its simplicity: instead of resisting what others are doing or letting their actions affect me, I remind myself to let them be who they are.
Fast forward to now—Mel Robbins recently joined me on my podcast, Life with Marianna, to talk about this theory and so much more. We spoke about how to apply the ‘Let Them’ mindset in everyday life, how it frees you from unnecessary stress, and how to focus on what really matters. It’s quickly become one of my most popular episodes, and the feedback from listeners has been incredible. So many of you have shared how much you’ve loved it and how the simple words let them are already helping you find more peace in your life.
If you’re looking to dig deeper, her book is packed with practical advice and transformative ideas. You can check it out here.
Give the episode a listen, and let me know—what are you learning to let go of?

Such a great episode! And such a great theory. I picked it as the topic for my call-in talk show this week! https://thelandlineshow.substack.com/p/let-them-the-hardest-lesson-i-ever
